It's the day before we leave for our journey to Australia and our packing status is this: Erin is 1/2 packed, if you call just throwing the clothes in the suitcase packed, suitcase #2, Alicia carts around the "BEAST"...the largest, overstuffed suitcase we've ever seen with a red leather make-up case as her side item, Melissa has been packed for days but has probably forgotten 1/2 of what she should take (got an extra hat anyone?), and Jeni just called to see if she should pack pants.
Tomorrow Alicia and Melissa will sleep in, they are still on east coast time after all, Erin will go in to work until noon and then we will satisfy Alicia's ravenous craving for In-and-Out Burgers. For those who have never indulged...you're missing out! We will then head over to Erin's parents house where we will meet up with Jeni, and Erin's dad will take us all to the airport. Have you ever seen four grown women beg to be upgraded to first class? If you are in the international terminal at LAX tomorrow you will see just that. We will attempt to upgrade to the big seats but will be so excited to be going that we won't be disappointed with the "cheap" seats. After partaking of a free drink or two (or more) and watching some high quality entertainment, we will attempt to grab some shut-eye. As we'll be too wired to think straight our attempt at this exercise should prove interesting.
We will arrive in Sydney at 9:30am on Friday to meet Alicia's aunt, Debie (we love Aunt Debie already!). Aunt Debie got us a car service so we will have our own uniformed Aussie holding a sign with our names (we feel so special) on it to pick us up and escort us to Debie's house on the harbor. Have you ever seen four grown women pass out from shear exhaustion in the middle of downtown Sydney?
Well....stay tuned for our next entry to find what happens :-) We will be in Sydney until the 1st, then we travel to Brisbane until the 5th, and then on to Perth until the 12th.
